Tired if that same old sports or battle game for your next gen console? Well gets your hands on Thief…. That is if it’s still there when you and pick it up.
You might think of Thief as just another game but in fact it’s just opposite. Thief takes place over a beautiful landscape of mysterious levels with game play that is sure to make you scratch your head. Such as the player dieing, to the restarts at checkpoint or travels between hub areas in the game, you are greeted with concept art of the world the game’s titular hero, Garrett, inhabits, depicting scenes and structures that are as intricate as they are haunting.
So go on, see just how good of Thief you really are.
The extensive console exclusivity period Microsoft enjoyed with Minecaft on Xbox 360 is coming to a close, as the first-person world-building game digs in on PlayStation 3 tomorrow. Like its 360 brethren, Minecraft on PS3 is limited by the console’s minuscule RAM — the procedurally-generated worlds you’ll explore are just a wee bit smaller than what’s possible on a computer.
Of course, PlayStation 3 isn’t the last stop for the Minecraft train: Vita, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions are all expected at some point in 2014. It’s unclear whether the PlayStation version of Minecraft will experience the same flood of add-on, PlayStation-specific content as DLC post-launch, but developer Mojang says that, “would be cool!” We can’t help but agree. As far as price is concerned, Mojang and Sony aren’t saying; we’re gonna take a wild guess that it’ll be about the same as on 360, where it’s $20.

Square Enix has confirmed that its well into development and currently working on a Tomb Raider sequel for the next generation of consoles.
In an open letter, the company’s Western CEO Phil Rogers confirmed that a sequel has been in development for some time.
“I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently,”
It was also said that a sequel was pretty much guaranteed considering the game’s success. It also confirmed at Comic-Con this year that Dark Horse comics were producing a series set after the conclusion of the first game and designed to lead into the eventual follow-up.
Still, it’s good to know for certain that the game is in development, that it’s making good progress, and that it’ll be on next-gen consoles everywhere. Be sure to let us know what you’d like to see in a sequel in the comments.
MCV is reporting that “third-party publishing sources” at Microsoft have signaled to partners that the next Xbox console will be at E3 2012 and that Sony has “made it clear to third-parties that they will not be left behind this time.”
Coupled with the showcasing of the Wii U, which was announced at last year’s show, it means this year’s E3 could be the biggest show in the event’s 17-year history, featuring three rival upcoming home consoles.
Now pricing and or launch details for the new Xbox or PlayStation are still unclear. But their unveiling could be a perfect spoiler to the pre-Christmas launch date and price that will be revealed for Wii U in June.
E3 will take place from June 5-7 in Los Angeles.
